It’s All about Ramzan

Islam is the world’s second largest discipline (religion) having more than a billion followers. As said in my previous post “The sound of Adhan” inspired me a lot and that made me to learn the beliefs of Islam.

Hello Everyone!
And this is Mr.Chan, A Non-Muslim eagerly learning the practices and disciplines of Islam in the recent times.

I have gone through many articles, regarding Islam and its beliefs and those articles made me to give more attention and respect to Islam. In extreme cases, I felt like I was converted to Muslim, I was born as a Muslim.. Really admired..!

Ramzan, the month of Fasting and reading Quran. So, I planned to take Fasting. Fasting happens only between the sunrise and sunset, i.e., during the sunlight hours. It is been 10 days of fasting, myself addressed more self-control in my personality.

I always love to say Islam is not a religion, it’s a kind of feeling, a kind of Practice and this practice, in turn, made us to attain the basic human qualities that we missed actually in Today’s scenario.

“Start the practice of self-control with some penance; begin with fasting.”

Ramzan is all about to follow the Five Pillars of Islam.

During this month Muslims choose to give more charity to the people, as it is considered to be greater in Quran. Allah forgives the sins of an individual where everyone gets closer to Allah through prayers in this Ramzan.
There is also a belief that the gates to heaven are opened and the hell is closed during this month.
They break their daily fasting with an evening meal called “Iftar”. After the sunset, they usually gathered in the mosque or home to break their fasting. Iftar time begins with Dates or with a Sip of water or with Sweetened milk.

The 27th Day
The holy night of the year for Muslims is Laylat Al Qadr, Which means the “Night of Power”.  This happens on the 27th day of Ramzan month. That was the day, where Prophet Muhammad revealed the Quran for the first time to their followers.

This night also marks their fate for the following year. Hence, every individual sincerely prays to Allah to forgive them from their sins, what they did in past.

Feast of Fast-Breaking
Eid-Al-Fitr is the end of the Ramzan month, a feast of Fast-Breaking. They celebrate it as a large festival to end the fasting. The celebration begins, when the new moon observed in the sky.
“Fasting is, first and foremost, an exercise for identifying and managing adversity in all its forms. With faith, in full conscience, fasting calls women and men to an extra degree of self-awareness.”
They celebrate their festival by wearing their favourite clothes, spending time with their family, would have a large meal during that day and moreover giving charity to help the poor.

To my view “Learning the qualities is not a matter, Earning the Qualities matters a lot”. That’s what is happening here...!

Ramzan is not only the month of Fasting, It is the month to attain yourself.

Search yourself through “Allah”.
